2020 Won!
I’m not going to lie, 2020 was a shit year. And when there’s a shortage of toilet paper, that’s not a good scenario.
Looking back and reflecting on it though showed a different story. I always look back at the past year before I sit down and do my goals for the upcoming year, and I’m pretty pleased. Let me start at the beginning.
January. A month where I spent bringing in and taking out dozens of baby plants started. I lost about half of them due to freezes, the wind knocking them over, or me forgetting to water them and them drying out. By the end of the month though, I had enough babies to plant a garden for the first time in years.
February. My son and I got seriously sick. Ended up being diagnosed with upper respiratory infection along with bronchitis. Hindsight being 2020, I am almost positive it was actually the Rona. I spent the month just trying to breathe and make it through the day while babying my plants. We went and bought a peach tree and planted it in the back yard. My son found a job in Louisiana, and we bought him a car. Things were looking good.
March. The World Wide Pandemic was officially here. The entire nation shut down, and fear set in. Our store closed and we had no idea how long it would remain so. We knew we would be paid for a couple of weeks, but what next? March was a turning point for us. For the first time, all my…
