3 Weeks In… I’m Surprised

With one week left of the month, where are you with your monthly goals?

The year started out with a bad illness that had me in bed for almost a week. With my goals laid out in advance, I was a bit discouraged as to how I was going to manage to get what I wanted to done with this thrown at me.

On top of that, the weather has really not cooperated. I realize it is winter and that I have no control over Mother Nature, but my goals were way optimistic and perhaps not 100% realistic.

But… it is three weeks in, and looking back over the past three weeks, I’m surprised and proud of myself.

So far, I have hit every single one of my goals, except for two.

  1. Try a new creative endeavor.

I still have ten days left of the month, and have a plan in place. This month I chose to try to make some coasters out of the trees we’ve cut down. I’ve picked out the perfect one to use and on Friday, I will be buying the wood burning tool I will need.

Will I succeed?

I will succeed as far as trying it out. Whether or not my project is a success, who knows? The point is I will be putting my fear of failure to the test and my success will come strictly from attempting it.
