I am bound and determined to make writing part of my daily routine. I’ve got so many different things I want to accomplish in 2025, and in order to achieve those goals, I need to make writing a priority.

I’ve got a super crazy work schedule. There are some days I work early mornings into the afternoon, some days I work early afternoon into the night. Since I work in retail, November is one of the worst months schedule-wise to try to fit things around.

I knew this when I started this challenge and thought ahead as to what I could do to still succeed regardless of how many overtime hours I had to put in. There is one thing that has seriously helped me make it through the first three weeks.

When I come up with an idea, I open up the app in my phone and write up a title for it. Sometimes if I have more than a free minute, I might even write the first paragraph.

Half of what I write are Medium posts. Those I’ll start a draft in Medium that I can later open up and work on whenever I have a free minute. The other stories I come up with ideas for I’ll open up my notepad and write in there.

So far there isn’t a day that has gone by where I haven’t written something. With a story started, it makes writing the story much…
