How To Find Your Brand

There are so many different things to do when you first start out with a dream of becoming a published author. This journey I’m on is so scary. It’s something brand new for me and is seriously pushing me out of my comfort zone.

Besides focusing on my different writing projects, there are a ton of steps along the way to start building excitement for my writing. One of those things is coming up with an author logo.

Sure, you can slap together something, but when someone sees it what will they assume you write?

As I tried several out it really got me thinking about what my brand is going to be. One of my favorite things to write is romantic suspense. But a big project I’m working on has nothing to do with romance or suspense, but more about emotion and situations in life. So, what is my brand going to be?

Should I go simple? Cute? Thought provoking? I mean, it’s just my name, right? But, I also want it memorable so that when people see it, they automatically know it’s me and think about the kind of things I write. I’m so lost and confused when it comes to logos.
