Over the last forty-eight hours I have achieved something I never imagined I could.

I wrote and submitted an 8,500 word story.

Not only did I write all of that in only two days, but I also wrote 4 posts on Medium.

That’s over 10,000 words total. Un-fricken-believable!

I’m thrilled!

It’s time to celebrate.

How will I do that?

By taking the time this weekend to relax and have ‘me’ time.

I’m celebrating two different things. Yes, I’ve accomplished a huge amount of writing, but more important:

For the first time ever, I submitted a piece that will be published.

Sometime this year, I will be able to hold my story in my hands and read it from an actual book.

Oh. My. God.

So super excited and proud of myself.

To be able to check a huge goal off my list feels amazing. I can’t begin to explain. My next step will be to submit a solo piece; a novel.

One step at a time, right?

So, on your journey, don’t forget to be proud of yourself. Celebrate your achievements and let the world know that you are here.

To come out of the shadows where I have lurked for decades is a such a freeing feeling.

Thank you, to all of you who have encouraged me throughout my journey. I don’t think I could have done it without you!
