I thrive on routine. I’ve said that over and over. That is the whole reason I jumped on this challenge. With my chaotic life I wanted to try to build the habit of writing every day.

How’s it going?

I’m not going to lie. It’s hard. I’ve had a couple days where bythe time I get home I’m exhausted and I don’t want to write. I forced myself to anyways.

This is important to me and when you take a moment to figure out where your priorities are it puts things into perspective. Mt hobbies fulfill a deep need in me and I have to make time for them to soothe my soul. Call it self care if you want.

The two days this past week I didn’t feel like writing I sat and journaled. I didn’t work on any posts here on Medium and I didn’t work on my book. I was okay with that.

So far, I’ve written four Medium posts, plotted out the first none chapters of my book and actually started writing chapter 1. That would not have happened if I hadn’t started this challenge.

What’s working for me? I kind of planned out what I want to write every day in November. I don’t always stick to it, but it gives me a good guideline and a list of ideas to work from.
