Creating an Anthology From Stories

I set some lofty goals for myself this year, and although many of them won’t come to fruition, quite a few will.

One of those goals was to go through my backlog from the past two years to see what I could do with the stories sitting here gathering dust. I came across twenty different ones that would go really well together.

My plan is to put these twenty stories together as an anthology and self publish it in either November or December. I already have a name picked out for the book, but will need to come up with a cover idea.

I don’t know how long it will be, but I’m hoping that it will be long enough to make it into a paperback so that I can give copies of it to my family for Christmas.

I’m a little nervous about it. These stories I hold close to my heart. At the same time though, it’s super exciting to think I’ll finally be able to hold my own work in my hands.

Anyways, it feels good to put these dusty stories back to use.

What do you do with stories written years ago that are no longer doing anything for you?
