Creating Good Habits

I had a lot of goals and plans for 2022, but as usual, life had different plans.

When it comes to achieving the goals I’ve set for myself, I have to get on track and somehow stay on track. Even one day of not moving forward has the potential of setting me back for months, and that is exactly what has happened.

It all started with my husband taking over my desk.

Create a space to be productive.

When I had my desk, I had it set up so that I could do my writing, work on my editing, and keep my notes nice and organized. I kept my weekly planner and to-do list where I could easily see it.

Now, all of that stuff is sitting in piles next to my bed. We have a small house and a small bedroom which means there’s hardly any walking space between my piles and the side of my bed. Nothing is organized.

Every time I’m in the mood to write, or decide it’s time to get back on track, I’d walk into my bedroom and look at the piles. The sense of overwhelming dread fills me to the point of being immobile. I stare at it until I walk away.

It’s not just going through it and organizing it, but the problem lies in the fact that once it’s organized, there’s still nowhere to put it.
