Finding things to work on.

With the bedrooms pretty much gutted, today was spent doing some little things that made quite the difference.

Ryan used the weed whacker to clear an area for a temporary driveway so we weren’t having to wade through the weeds in order to get to the house.

With not a lot to help with inside, I spent an hour cleaning up the azalea bushes in the front of the house. Eventually, I want to pull them so that I can plant what I want.

I’m torn though. This property once belonged to our neighbor’s elderly mother. She is the one who planted the bushes, and any time our neighbor is over, he comments on them. For now, they will stay. I may try to take a cutting and get it to root to take it over there so that he will always have part of his mother’s azalea’s. Maybe then I won’t feel so guilty getting rid of them.

The septic tank is finally completely dug out so that we can have it inspected and fixed. This was a major project, but it ended up saving…
