Is it just me, or are December goals the hardest to do?

I think because it is the last month of the year. It’s the last chance to accomplish something on my yearly goal list. Time is ticking away and with a major holiday thrown into the mix, goals this month seem a bit daunting to me.

So, what do I want to accomplish this month? First, let’s rewind and take a look at last month.

I was excited about NaNoWriMo, but in the overall scheme of things I failed. I don’t consider it failing though. I got more words written last month than I did the previous month, and I moved forward with several different projects. I made it about halfway through my novel, edited and posted four new episodes on Kindle Vella, and finished a short story.

What I failed to do was to post on Medium every day like I wanted to. In fact, I think I went for over a week without posting a single thing. I did not write for any publications this month which was one of the things on my goal list. I did not write every day.

So, seeing where I went wrong, my goals for this month are simple.

I want to write every day. My goal for December is to have a word count higher than November’s. I’d like to write a piece and submit it to a publication once a week. I need to finish my novel this month, and get a short story edited and…
