Don’t Make Me Punch You In The Eyeball!
Every family has their unique sayings and ways of messing around with each other. I’m not sure exactly how it started, but there was one day that I was going somewhere with my son and he was annoying me.
“Don’t make me punch you in the eyeball!”
I don’t even know what made me say that, but it stopped him in his tracks and he started cracking up.
“Really, Mom? The eyeball? Not the eye, not the face, not the mouth, but the eyeball?”
Now, it’s a daily thing where one of us says something stupid or won’t stop saying something and someone pops up with, “Don’t make me punch you in the eyeball!”
Making Strangers Laugh
Yesterday my son and I went to Sam’s Club to do our monthly shopping. We were walking down an aisle. He was tired and a bit cranky so here’s what happened:
Me: “Don’t make me punch you in the eyeball!”
Son: “I’ll punch you in the eyeball before you can even think about punching me in the eyeball.”
Me: “I’ll punch you in the eyeball, and then punch you in the other eyeball.”
Son: “I’ll punch you in the eyeball twice, so the second time you will still be able to see my bony knuckle coming at you!”
