Fighting Anxiety
It’s Easier Said Than Done
Now, before I go into anything, I want to make it clear that I don’t suffer from severe anxiety. The anxiety I get is caused by stress around me and my blood pressure shooting up.
I can not imagine have severe anxiety that causes you to not be able to function.
I’m speaking about anxiety that fills your mind and makes you want to curl up in bed and sleep. I’m talking about wanting to escape from life and be away from everyone. I’m talking about those days where anxiety grips you and you can’t focus on any tasks.
The panic attacks are the worst for me. When I’m in the grips of anxiety, my blood pressure shoots through the roof. I get hot and sweaty. No matter how many breaths I take, I can’t get air into my lungs. I gasp for breath.
That’s what I learned to avoid.
Anxiety is a tricky thing. For most people it is caused by things happening in their life. For some, it happens out of the blue.
There are treatments and medications that may help a person, but that’s not what I’m talking about.
Here’s an example.
