At the beginning of the month, I gave myself the goal of writing and hopefully posting one item every day for the entire month. I’ve worked hard towards this goal, and sometimes had to double up on some days knowing that the following day I may not be able to write.

It’s been great, but for the last week, there have been days that I have really struggled trying to figure out what I should write. Sometimes picture prompts would help, but often I would sit staring at a blank screen until frustration set in.

Recently I had to take a quick trip from Florida to Louisiana. I was by myself with nothing to do but drive and listen to the radio. This wasn’t a trip I was necessarily looking forward to.

Four plus hours there and then had to turn around and drive back. I mean, who really wants to spend almost nine hours in the car by themselves? Now, the trip is on a highway, not a major interstate. You drive through three major cities, roughly an hour apart from each other. Other than that, a few small towns dot the way.

When I started out, my mood wasn’t the best if I have to be honest. I was cranky that nothing was going my way, and on top of that, a major rainstorm was traveling with me, dumping torrential rain, making my windshield wipers work harder than ever before.
