How committed are you to yourself?

When you work for a company, it’s not so hard. There’s always someone who holds you accountable whether it is a manager or an owner. If you don’t follow through and get your work done, there’s someone who holds you accountable.

But what about when that person is yourself?

This year so far I’ve struggled. Take today for example.

I had today off. I had plans. I hadn’t gotten much sleep over the last few days so I was exhausted. Then, my husband walks through the door, unexpectedly having the day off.

Great.

I love my husband, but none of my plans included him, and I knew exactly what was going to happen… and it did. My plans flew out the window. I was a little irritated, but on the good side, I knew I would also get to spend the day with him which was a bonus.

After we ran errands, all I wanted to do was go crawl into bed, watch a movie and take a nap. But… I am my boss. There are things that I needed to get done, and no one there to make me.

If I want to hit all my goals this month, I only have one week left to get moving. This was my one day off; my one day to get stuff done. I spent hours outside, not only working alongside my husband, but also getting my…
