Growing Every Day

I have a friend who I talk to every single day, and every single day she does the same thing. She gets up, goes to work followed by going home and spending hours in the kitchen making breakfast lunch and dinner for her and her husband. By the time she’s done, it’s bedtime.

She wasn’t always like this. She used to have goals and dreams and little by little gave up on them until she has nothing left to fill her day besides making sure her husband has three prepared meals a day.

I don’t ever want to get that way.

I have too many goals and my dreams are endless. Every day I do something to move forward and reach farther than I did the day before. There are some days that I really struggle with this. The days I work early and I’m exhausted by the time I get home it takes everything I have inside me to do something.

Even if it is five minutes weeding my berry patch or ten minutes to plant something. Sometimes when I know I’m completely spent, I’ll listen to a podcast on a topic where I can learn something.

Taking the steps to reach your goals doesn’t have to take over your life. The important part is to always be moving forward.

Listening to my friend drone on about having to go to the grocery store twice in one day in order to get ingredients makes me so angry at her. I’m angry that she has…
