I Think Facebook Is Stalking Me With A Camera

I’ve always laughed when paranoid people make comments about the government and other entities cyberstalking their every move.

I mean, really?

I know that websites use marketing strategies that target things that perhaps you’ve googled or searched for, or links that you’ve clicked on. I know that there’s always information that you yourself put out there on the internet.

Now I’m feeling a bit paranoid though.

You see, last week I was wanting a sweet snack. I saw a tin of cookies at work and bought one.

That night there was nothing on television that I wanted to watch so I grabbed a book, a drink, and settled in to read my book.

The cookies were great, and so was the story. I thought nothing of it.

Then, the next day the ads started showing up on my Facebook page.

What the heck? That ad had never shown up before, and yet suddenly here they were. Coincidence?

It makes me wonder.

Am I somehow being watched?
