Making My Day Great
I had to make an eight hour round-trip drive to New Orleans today. I’ve worked eight days straight, was exhausted, and the last thing I wanted to do was spend my entire day traveling. What did I do? I decided at the very beginning to make it a great day.
On the trip at one of the rest stops I pulled up the Geocache app. While my husband ran to use the restroom, I wandered across the parking lot. On one side there was a huge grass field with trees and benches. A large sign indicated that it was the pet area. Directly across from it, was another area with “No Pets Allowed" signs posted all over and here’s what I found.
After shaking my head and figuring the poor lady didn’t know how to read or didn’t speak English, I kept walking, following my GPS to a large clump of trees.
By this time I knew my husband was most likely back at the car waiting for me. I stepped up my pace and did a circle around the trees. Since I was running out of time, I hit the hint button, and found the cache within a min.
