Monthly Goals For October
With the turn of the calendar page, time is flying by and it’s once again time to set my goals for the month.
First Step
Before I do anything, I need to look back on the previous month. How did I do? What did I accomplish? Where did I falter?
In September I started publishing episodes in the Vella program. So far I’ve managed to stay on track with that. I had planned on editing my short story to publish October 1st. That did not happen. I had planned on finishing my new novella. That did not happen. I had planned on finalizing my newsletter. That did not happen. I had planned on posting in Medium daily. That did not happen.
So where do I go from there?
Second Step
Prioritizing projects.
With a lot of different things going on, I need to figure out which projects are more important.
The Vella story is going smoothly so I don’t need to adjust anything regarding that. The Halloween short story is time sensitive so that needs to go to the top of the list. I want the newsletter link to be included in the short story so that too takes priority.
I’ve plotted out the novella and it turns out that it’s going to be novel length. That completely changes my timeline on that, so my goal will be…
