So, if you follow me, you know we are in the process of purchasing a house that needs quite a lot of work. One of the main things is that the investment company that owns the property used a backhoe to clear part of the yard, and ran across the septic system and collapsed part of the lid.

In order to figure out how damaged the septic system is requires it to be dug out and examined. My husband went out two different days to work on it.

I had to laugh today.

He posted a video on what he was doing and how he grew tired and sore after a while so he had to stop and figure out another solution. He then said that he found an automatic shoveler that everyone should invest in. The camera spun around to my son who stands neck-high in the septic tank with a shovel in his hands.

Yup, that was his automatic shoveler.

Seriously though, raising kids can be a challenge. Through the years you hope and pray that you are doing things right. You have times that you doubt yourself and your parental abilities.

Every once in a while your child will do something to show you that yes, you are on the right track.

This was one of those moments for us.

Here was my husband, big and strong, who was exhausted and sore from shoveling…
