Oh, Medium… What Have You Done?

Where do I even start?

My frustration? Disappointment? Worry?

I don’t do well with change even though I know it’s part of life.

I’ve been very lax when it comes to Medium lately. Life got super busy and other things have taken priority.

I sat down to work on my goals for November, and part of that was trying to get back on track here on Medium. That led me to log on for the first time in a couple of weeks.

You can imagine my surprise when I see the weird new icon for Medium. I had to look twice. At first I thought it was an error, like perhaps it started to update and failed partway through.

Then, once I’m on the site, I see all these posts about the changes in Medium and had to look for myself.

YIKES!

I’m glad I noticed all of this before making my Medium goals.

This changes things so much. Now, instead of doing a little and hoping to make a whopping $12 a month, now I worry that I’ll even make half of that. It really makes me question if it will be worth it.
