The day has finally arrived! I’ve taken the past week to figure out what I want to achieve, and what I’ve done to prepare for that. Today is the day to see if I did enough in 2021 to set up 2022 for success.

Writing
I didn’t get nearly as much writing done as I wanted to in 2021. What I did manage to do though is to start publishing on Vella. As of the end of the year, I’ve gotten 19 episodes edited and published. This year, I need to finish the last 15. Once those are published, I can reformat it and publish it as an ebook.

The other thing I did was to plan out and start a new series including two short stories that are already written. I’ve got big plans for this series in 2022.

Here on Medium, I’ve finally managed to make it up to $15 goal for the month. Because of that, my goal for 2022 will be to maintain and try to grow that number.

The Homestead
In 2021, we bought 8 berry plants and 10 strawberry plants to start a berry patch. Out of all of those, half survived. That’s not enough to produce the amount of berries I’ll need so this year I’ll need to buy the same amount to plant. I did manage to forage enough in the neighborhood and our backyard to make six jars of jam that were beyond delicious!
