Starting a 100 Day Writing Challenge

Will I succeed and what do I want to accomplish?

There are so many different challenges you can do when it comes to writing it’s hard to decide which one would be best for me. I’ve chosen the 100 Day Writing Challenge for one main reason.

I desperately need to get back into the habit of writing every day.

I considered doing NaNoWriMo again, but it’s not my aim to write a rough draft of a book in a month. I’ve done NaNo in the past, and even won once but I found that when the month was over I wanted to take a break from the stress of having to hit a certain word count.

I’ve had every excuse in the book as to why I haven’t made the time to sit and write, and lately most are very valid. The time has come to push those excuses to the side. I will write every single day, even if it’s only for a few minutes.

One of the things I like about this challenge is you can work on whatever you want. I can write posts here on Medium, I can work on a book, or on days when time is limited I can sit and journal for a few minutes before I crash into bed.

My main objective of course is to get into the habit of sitting down to write but there are other things that I will be keeping track of as well. I have some large goals that I want to hit in…
