Starting A Blog
I’ve been toying with an idea for a while now, and I think I’m going to do it. It all started out with asking myself a question.
How can I combine my two greatest joys, gardening and writing?
Not only that, but at the moment, I have no one to share my excitement with on a daily basis. What better way than to start a blog where I can do just that, and perhaps share my excitement and worries with readers?
Eventually, I’d like to be able to make some money by doing this, but I know that is far down the line and not why I am starting it.
So for those of you who have a blog, here is my plan and you can tell me if it’s good or if I need to make some adjustments.
I think I’ve come up with a name: The 365 Garden. I figure if I start posting on Instagram while I set up the blog, that will be one less thing I’ll need to do. I’d also like to set up some sort of Facebook community for my audience where we can have discussions about gardening successes and failures.
This is all so completely new to me, but I’m excited about it. In fact, I’m having a hard time focusing on working on my book because my thoughts go right back to the blog.
I’ll be using Wordpress. I’m doing my research to figure out what plan will be best for me. It won’t be the free one because I want my own…
