You’ve got a great idea to start something new. Excitement about the possibilities floods through your veins at the thought of what could be. You immediately begin to dig in.

Stop. Right There.

Hold on to that feeling. Remember it. Ingrain it in your brain. Perhaps make a short list (like 3 things) that makes you so excited about this idea. Why? I’ll come back to this in a minute.

Now, the research begins. Still filled with excitement, you dig into the subject going full force. You learn a lot, which is great. You grab a pen and start making a plan.

Your plan fills out a little at a time; goals you want to hit, numbers you want to achieve. From there, you start making a list of steps you need to follow in order to get this great idea to fruition.

Now, remember when I told you to remember the excitement? Do you have that list of what excites you? Just checking.

So, you have this plan now, and your binder starts to fill up with what you need to do. And, the more you think about it, the more things you will add to that list. Things you didn’t think about yesterday or things that you find in more research.
