Battling the fear of failure

Have you ever had a dream or something you wanted to accomplish, yet didn’t do anything about it because you were afraid you’d fail?

Yup! That’s me in a nut shell.

For years I have wanted to start a small business. Nothing extravagant, just something to bring in a little extra money each month. Every time I thought about it I’d be riddled with anxiety.

What if I couldn’t do it? What if I needed help and people laughed at me? What if it was a total flop and I lost the money I put into it? Doubt held me hostage, holding me back from accomplishing anything.

Take That First Step!

Now I’m kicking that fear to the curb!

I’ve partnered up with a family member who is as excited as I am about starting this business. This person has no issue tackling the marketing that I know will need to be done, and that’s something I’ve been dreading.

I won’t lie, the fear is still there. Every step of the process I have a moment of anxiety where the self-doubt creeps in but I force myself to keep going. Now that I’ve forked over most of the startup money, it would be a complete waste if I didn’t continue to move forward.

Make It A Priority
