As a creative person who wants to do so many things, it’s really hard to stay on track.

Today is one of those days that I don’t work until later so I have several hours in order to get something done. Today, the task was writing and editing. The problem? There’s so much more I want to do!

If I’m going to achieve everything I want this year, I’m going to need to somehow fight getting distracted with different projects. I thought I had a handle on that by scheduling out my day. Little did I know, that handle must have been coated in oil because my attention slipped faster than a child coated in sunscreen on a slip-n-slide.

I started off great. Turned the laptop on, pulled up my document. Decided I should read through the last part of the chapter before continuing on. Great, right? Then I came upon this sentence:

Plus, you’d be amazed at the stories that fly out of people’s mouths when they’re feeling a bit tipsy.

Doesn’t seem like much, does it? Yet it was enough to make me think of my sister and her husband who love wine. It made me think of an art project that I would love to make them, but I would need a stencil for it.

So, Amazon, here I come. Looking up wine stencils was fine. Shouldn’t take too long, right?
