Thanksgiving Every Day
Thanksgiving brings a rush of stories on one day about how people are Thankful for certain things in their lives. There’s nothing wrong with that. But, why do we need a holiday in order to do so?
I used to be one of those people. I would use the holiday to think about what I was thankful for.
Not any more!
Every day there is something to be thankful for, or a reminder of how you are blessed. Every day I see something that makes me smile, makes me grateful that I am where I am.
I have everything I need, and most things I want. There’s not a single thing that I am lacking. Every day reminds me of this.
There are days that I get up and race the sun as it is rising in the sky. Those days are also the days that I chase the sun home as it dips below the horizon throwing off hues of colors that amaze me.
I drive down tree-lined streets where I am the only vehicle on the road. Every once in a while I spot a deer, standing their watching me.
Each morning I sit out in the carport with my coffee and listen to the birds sing. The camelias are blooming right now, throwing spots of color throughout the green tree.
Every day there is something I am thankful for.
