The first month is over and done as of midnight tonight. It’s history. There’s no going back, no re-do’s. What did you learn?

This year for me is all about learning new things, testing new methods, and pushing myself out of my boundaries. Did I succeed?

Did you?

At the beginning of the year, I make my goals and break them down into shorter and shorter goals. One of the best helpful tips I have when it comes to goals is to take the time to look back and learn from what you did or did not do.

This past month was a struggle for me.

It started with sickness and the weather did not cooperate. But, are those just excuses?

I did not hit my writing goal, but I came close. I have no excuse for this. The last week of the month I slacked off when it came to writing. I don’t know if the rainy weather made me want to just curl up into bed and watch movies or what. I need to stop that habit.

I did manage to hit all of my gardening goals despite the weather. I have a lot of things growing and tried three different growing methods to see not only which ones worked the best, but which ones I liked doing best. The results won’t be determined until spring, but I’m pleased with what I managed to do.
