The Power of a Back List

How much of my November earnings came from previous month’s writing?

One of the things I’ve noticed at the end of the month is the number of posts that I’ve earned money on, far exceeds the number of posts I had written that month.

I was kind of curious how that worked out as far as money earned went so I did some calculations. Here is what I found.

In November I only wrote 9 posts. Although that isn’t a big number, I had 20 posts that earned money throughout the month. That’s over twice as much as I wrote! How does it break down?

November

My highest earning post earned $2.34. Altogether, those 9 posts earned $12.05

October

There were 5 posts written in October that earned money in November. Those added up to $3.17.

Earlier Posts

There were 6 posts dating as far back as 2020 that earned money in November. Even though they only added $1.49 to the total, it still helps

All in all, I earned $16.71 in November. Almost one-third of my earnings was completely passive earnings from posts previously written that are still earning money.

In Conclusion
