Trying Out Dictation

As I’m settling into the new job, I’ve made quite a lot of changes. For example, I don’t watch T.V. any more. There may be one day a week I’m in the mood for a movie, but that’s about it. Instead, I’ve turned my focus to my productivity.

The problem is, I’m not using my time wisely.

When I should be writing, I’m spending time on social media, trying to market and network. My Vella story is going nowhere fast. It’s a little disappointing, but at the same time, I would not have 7 chapters edited and polished up if I hadn’t done it, so it is worth it.

Plus, I think I’ve made about $.30 so far! Yay me!

So, the question for me is, how do I get more writing done?

Obviously when I’m sitting in front of a computer, I get distracted. How do you write without a computer?

Dictation.

I’ve thought about it before, but had only heard of Dragon software which is a bit expensive for me. Now, there are so many different apps you can get it’s a little mind-boggling.

Right now, I’m not focusing on voice to text. I merely want to improve the amount of words I get written. I chose an app that will do either, but for now, I’ll use it more as a voice recorder.
