When Dreams Come True Do Not Stop

I’ve talked about starting with a dream and making yourself goals to reach in order to make those dreams come true.

What I haven’t mentioned was what to do when your dreams are realized.

This year has been a crazy crazy year so far. We’ve had some lows which felt impossible to dig myself out of, but we’ve also had some highs.

My dream for 10 years now has been to buy some property large enough for my family, a garden, a chicken coop and fruit trees. This year my goal was to save enough money for a down payment for this.

My other big goal was to have something published.

Both of those dreams and goals have come true. I had a story in an anthology published last month, and on Friday, we will close on a piece of five-acre property.

But, now what?

Dream bigger and re-evaluate your goals.

Now everything has changed. The house is going to take a huge amount of work over the next few months so I will map out what needs to be done, how much money it will take, and set goals that will keep us on track and be realistic and attainable.

I will also set goals as far as the garden goes for the rest of the year. As much as I would love to get chickens today, realistically, that may have to wait…
