Improving Character Development While Having Fun

The novel I’m working on this month is the first novel in what I hope to be a series. I’ve got so many ideas running through my mind. Each novel will focus on one specific character in the town. Even though I want to get through the story, I also want to improve my writing and my character development, so I googled writing exercises.

There were quite a few sites that popped up, but when I took a look at their lists, most of them were just writing prompts. Although I love working from prompts, that’s not what I am looking for. I ran across one site that has a great list of exercises.

This month, along with the novel, I want to focus on writing fiction. I’ve moved away from that this year, since people on Medium tend to like these posts better, but I’m going back to my heart.
