“You’ll Hate the Commute.”
Or Not.
When we moved to this property, the first thing people commented on was the commute time it would take to get to work.
I’ll admit, I’d rather not have to drive an hour in order to get to work, but in the grand scheme of things, I really don’t mind the actual drive.
As you can see from the picture above, some of the scenery I pass by each and every day is gorgeous. In the mornings I’m greeted with the sunrise, and in the evenings, the sunset casts amazing light over the fields dotted with grazing cattle.
The banks are filled with yellow and purple wildflowers that if I didn’t have this commute, I would never see.
Half of my commute there is absolutely no traffic. Thirty minutes to drive about thirty miles. The other thirty minutes is what it takes me to get through the five miles of congested city traffic that I abhor.
Every day when I make that last turn on my road, it hits me how much I love where I live. I wouldn’t change it for the world. Perhaps one day I won’t have an hour long commute, but it’s well worth it to have the peace and serenity that greets me upon arrival home.
